Brit Con is a new three day convention celebrating British media, science fiction, fantasy and folklore held in Bloomington Minnesota. Of course that means Doctor Who and Harry Potter, but also Torchwood, Thunderbirds and EastEnders. Sure we’ll have Tolkien, but also Being Human and Are You Being Served. Plus Sherlock Holmes, Robin Hood, King Arthur and everything in between!

At Brit Con we will be celebrating, examining, discussing, and enjoying a broad range of British literature and media. You will find specialised Anglophile programming, a dealers room, rare video presentations, art, a charity auction, hall costumes and parties! There will also be plenty of opportunities to discuss, learn about and enjoy the science fiction, fantasy and folklore that comes from "across the pond."

The organisers of Brit Con are active members of the local Twin Cities science fiction/fantasy community. We thought the area could support another convention and one specialised in British Literature and Media seemed spot on.
